This is my one attempt at a watercolor quilt. Since I love hollyhocks, this is really a favorite. Do you see the dragon fly in the top half? That is a beaded applique my mom found and gave to me as a gift. This is about 20 by 30 and hangs in my living room.

This is beautiful! I have a watercolour Christmas kit with holly for the applique but have never done a kit, not watercolour before... yours is inspiration to give mine a try.

How pretty, Rebecca! Not sure if I really see the dragonfly though--the picture even when opened is not very big. Still, what a clever addition you made.

Yes, I can see the dragonfly. It is a beautiful quilt. The hollyhocks are so gorgeous!

Did you make hollyhock dolls when you were a child?

Sweet quilt. I have hollyhocks in my garden just now, but with our cold summer I am not sure if they will bloom.

Very pretty! I made a couple watercolor wallhangings and then decided they just weren't for me. It was fun trying though.

Nice job! I went so far as to cut out 2" squares and play with them a little - water color wasn't "my cup of tea" either. I love to see them but have no desire to make one.
