Fabric Bowl

After finishing quilts, I decided to play with something else today. Awhile back I had seen a pattern for this fabric bowl. (McCalls Quick Quilts January 2007) I bought some cotton clothes line to wrap with fabric strips. So I gave it a whirl. And look what I made! It took about half an hour and was really fun. More of these are in my future.

Cool! I saw that technique recently also and thought I might want to give it a try too.

I wanted to give this a try too and bought the magazine. It looked difficult to sew together. How hard was it to fit under the foot?

Only 1/2 an hour to make this bowl? Amazing! I love the contrast of the orange and blue!

Don't know if it is the same technique or not but Fons and Porter has a fabric bowl in this months issue. I can't wait to try it now that I see yours.

Beautiful bowl and a very nice photo with the oranges. It sounds fun to make and could make nice fast gifts. I really like your Spider Web quilt!

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Wonderful bowl--you could make a great quilt just from your photo. Love all your other quilts too--they're so bright and you're so very prolific.

Great bowl! I accepted some truly interesting fabric from my sister this week and she was wondering what I would ever do with it - I have this exact pattern in mind! Glad to hear that it goes together so quickly!

Cheers!
