My town has flooded! I have evacuated to my parents house in Anchorage for the time being. Of course, when leaving, I took my sewing machine. You know, grab the important things. So I have been sewing and working on a Double Four Patch quilt, just like the one on Mary's Blog. Even green and tan.

Be safe and well. My hope is that you and others in your town will soon be able to return home and that their losses will be minor.

Having been through a major flooding of my town, I know what you're going through! Stay safe and dry. Now I understand why your house is up on stilts!

I'm so sorry you've had to temporarily leave your home, and I hope that all is well soon and you are able to return. Meanwhile, I hope that you are able to enjoy spending time with your parents, and working on your Double Four Patch. I clicked on your link, and it's a beauty.

So sorry to hear about the flooding. We lived through the flood prep stages when we were threatened. Thankfully, the flood never materialized. I can't imagine what you are going through. So glad you have a project to work on. I was also inspired by Mary's quilt and made my own version--in greens and tans also. Great minds thing alike! LOL

Oh my, I am so sorry to hear about your town. I stumbled onto your blog from Stash Quilts. I am basically a beginning quilter. I have yet to post any of my work on my blog, and I'm not sure why. Hopefully, I will have the courage to post something soon. Maybe even by the time you get this comment. I love your work, and all the Stash Quilters out there...such inspirations.
