I thought I would share some photos from our recent trip around the state.  Keep in mind that the sun is coming up just above the trees just about 11 a.m. and going down about 3 p.m.  The sun is just coming over the horizon, not rising in the sky.  But the days will start to get longer, but it really won't be noticeable until February or so.

HOw pretty and how different it must be to adjust to that kind of "daylight". I know one time we went to Ireland (in the summer) and were shocked at how much later it stayed light in the evening compared to where we lived (in NJ at the time). Have you always lived in Alaska? If so, I guess these short days seem normal to you! Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.

I already complain about how short the days are here (8-6), there is no way I could deal with such short days. But it certainly is pretty there! Gorgeous pics.
