I wanted to share some Alaskan artwork with you.
This parka is velvet and is worn when the temps are below zero. You would need to pay about $1000 to have it made, you cannot buy many of these in the stores. Of course, the fur is real.
These are slipper tops beaded by a middle aged man, given away during the potlatch celebrating the life of his grandpa.

I don't know who made the gloves, but they are used everyday.
The slippers were made by "Aunt Cecila" and given as a gift to the wearer.


What I wouldn't give for a pair of slippers like that!
