I bought this kit awhile back but never got around to doing it.  The cutie holding the quilt is my son.  This is all done in batiks and is very bright.  Do you know what happens when your iron is too hot and you use fusibles?  They disappear!  Poof!  Not a trace of any fusible anywhere.  I turned the iron way down and then the fusible worked.  I still have to add two hummingbirds and trim down the edges and add borders.  I think I will use the pattern to add some hollyhocks to a sweatshirt I have with some spots on the front.

Two more blocks from Friday Block Party.  I am almost caught up!

Breakup is here!  And what a difference a few days make!  The snow is melting and the water is still standing around.  The puddles are so fun to drive thru!  It reminds me of one time in Hawaii, my parents drove thru a storm valley in the road and it was so much fun we turned around and did it twice more!

Diet Challenge Update

Well I gained a little bit this last week.  Only .4 of a pound but it was Easter and I love chocolate!  Excuses, excuses!

I weighed in Sunday but I weighed 3 more pounds than Saturday morning so I decided I would not accept that number.  When I weighed in this morning I was four pounds less than Sunday!

I weighed 230.4!  Whoo hoo!  Down 11.6 this year total!

I just love Post Secret!

A few days ago I stopped by a garbage transfer site and I found a secret!  Way cool!

I have fallen behind on the Friday Block Party blocks but here are some I made up yesterday.

I made these three little tops for donation.  Project Linus maybe.  The quilt on the bottom was quilted by my friend Harriett.

My dh is such a good sport!  For AWANA we challenged the kids to say 200 sections in 10 weeks, and they did it in 6!  Their reward? 

 Shave the pastor's head!!!

Down 2.8 pounds for a total loss in 2009 of 10.8 pounds!!!  This is right on target, as my goal up to now was 10.5 pounds!!! Yippee!
